2015-06-10

La Kaffa International Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “La Kaffa,” stock code of Taipei Exchange: 2732) announced that its consolidated sales revenue in May was 112 million, increasing 2.73% compared to 109 million of the same period last year. From January to May 2015, the accumulated sales revenue was 623 million, increasing 23.80% than last year.

Due to the delay of export shipping date and Ramadan of Muslim countries, YOY grew very little in May, but in the high season of summer vacation, export sales are expected to grow. In the second half year, Wagokoro Tonkatsu Anzu Ginza of La Kaffa is scheduled to open in Global Mall in Banqiao Station, and it will continue to expand to open stores. The Banqiao store is Wagokoro Tonkatsu Anzu Ginza’s first step in the flourishing New Taipei City, and the sales are expected to grow.

La Kaffa stated, as countries in the northern hemisphere countries started to enter summer in May one after another, the leading brand, Chatime, in Southeast Asian countries would soar in sales. New distributors, who joined in the first quarter, such as Fiji, New Zealand, and Vancouver, have started to expand, and are actively ordering materials for sales. Furthermore, this April, Chatime officially crossed English Channel from UK to the market in Continental Europe to open the first store in Paris, France, with the new French partner, and the second store would be opened at the end of this month. In the second half of the year, La Kaffa will accelerate the promotion of Chatime to other Continental European countries, and there has been many distributors from many countries contacting La Kaffa for possible partnership.

La Kaffa is optimistic about the third quarter, since the high season of tea drink and dessert markets in summer vacation will start this quarter, and the sales of Chatime and ZenQ Dessert are expected to see a significant growth. La Kaffa’s Bake Code opened its third store in Taiwan in Hsinchu on May 30th, and as a two-story fusion store, taking up 200m2, this new store will stably infuse revenue to La Kaffa. Furthermore, starting in the third quarter, Wagokoro Tonkatsu Anzu Ginza, distributed by La Kaffa, will open stores one by one, and there will be total 6-7 new stores opened this year, helping La Kaffa reach another growing peak.
